MagPasteAgreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and MagPaste ("we", "us"), the maker of the MagPaste app (the "App") and magpaste.com (the "Site"). By buying a license, or by downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to them. If you accept them for an organization, you confirm you're allowed to. You must be able to make a binding contract where you live. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
Your license
- We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on Macs you own or control.
- A license is a one-time purchase for one person, for use on up to 5 of their Macs at a time. It doesn't expire.
- It includes free updates for every 1.x version. A future major version (2.0 and later) may be a paid upgrade; the version you have keeps working either way.
- Moving to a new Mac: deactivate the old one in Settings → License → Deactivate This Mac, then activate the new one. Old Mac gone? Email us and we'll free it.
- The App needs an activated license to work. It's licensed, not sold: we keep all rights not expressly given to you.
Purchases and payment
Orders are processed by our payment partner, Dodo Payments, the reseller and Merchant of Record for every order. They handle payment, invoices, sales tax and VAT, and their buyer terms, shown at checkout, also apply to your purchase. Prices are in USD; local taxes are added at checkout. The price you pay is yours for good, even if the price changes later.
Refunds
MagPaste is a one-time purchase and all sales are final: you get the full app and your license key right away. By completing your purchase you agree to receive it immediately, which in some countries means you give up the right to cancel. If something isn't working, email us and we'll help you fix it. Duplicate charges and payment errors are refunded, and a refunded license key stops working. Details in the Refund Policy. Nothing here affects any rights your local law gives you that can't be waived.
Your clips
Everything you copy stays yours and stays on your Mac; we never receive it. You're responsible for what you copy and paste, and for respecting other people's rights and any confidentiality rules that apply to you.
Fair use
- Don't share, sell, publish or give away your license key.
- Don't get around the App's license checks, and don't reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App, except where the law allows it regardless of this term.
- Don't use the App to break any law or anyone's rights.
Updates
We release new versions with fixes and improvements, and may change, add or remove features over time. Updates install themselves while you're away from your Mac; you can turn that off in Settings → About.
What's ours
The App, its design, the MagPaste name and logo, and the Site belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use the App, not ownership of it. Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.; MagPaste is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
Other services
Buying, license checks and the Site rely on Dodo Payments and Cloudflare. Their own terms apply to their services, and we aren't responsible for services we don't run. How we handle data is in the Privacy Policy.
Ending the license
You can stop using the App and delete it at any time. If you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing your license key, we may end your license after telling you. The parts of these terms that by their nature should last (such as what's ours, no warranty and liability) continue after that.
No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the App will be free of errors or never lose data. Keep backups of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under laws that can't be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we'll say so on the Site and email customers before they take effect. Using the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Your rights and contact
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live; nothing in these terms takes that away.
